Richard E. Berl Jr.

Richard E. Berl, Jr. has been a member of the bars of the State of Delaware and the United States District Court since 1979. He is a graduate of Archmere Academy, the University of Delaware (B.A. in Political Science in 1976), and the Delaware Law School (J.D. in 1979). He began his legal career as a law clerk for the Sussex County Superior Court and as a Deputy Attorney General, before going into private practice, where he also served as Assistant Sussex County Attorney from 2001 to 2012. Rick is an experienced trial attorney and currently maintains a litigation, business, and real estate practice.

Rick has been a member of the Board of Bar Examiners, the American Judicature Society, the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, and the Terry-Carey American Inn of Court. He is a past President of the Sussex County Bar Association, and past Vice President of the Delaware State Bar Association. Rick is also a past President of the Lewes Little League, and and a former member of the Board of Governors for the Rehoboth Country Club.
