Welcome to Hudson Jones Jaywork & Fisher's first offical "What's Happenin' Wednesday" blog post! This weekly blog posting will focus on an upcoming event in our local community. In honor of the upcoming Labor Day holiday, we are focusing on the holiday show at the Freeman Show at Bayside featuring the MidAtlantic Symphony Orchestra.
The beautiful sounds of the orchestra will feature the sounds of musical greats such as Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Aaron Copland and Tchaikovsky, to name a few.
The MidAtlantic Symphony Orchestra was officially formed in May 1997 with the mission of enriching "life in the Mid-Atlantic region through the power of live classical music". The Orchestra performed under the direction of Donald C. Buxton until September 2005, at which time Julien Benichou took over the podium as director. Their history with the Freeman Stage at Bayside began in June 2008 when they began their run as the annual opening act of the artistic season and further deepened in 2010, when they added a closing performance over Labor Day weekend.
Grab your lawnchair and head to The Freeman Stage at Bayside on Saturday, September 5th at 7:30 to celebrate a Labor Day you will never forget!
